Cards

Well, I think it is time again to show you some creations, since the blog is called thoughts and creations.
So here are some cards, the colors don’t come out the right way but the little boy is available in light and dark blue and the girl in light purple and light green.

Here you can see that the card itself has a little shimmer to it, well and actually it is white!!!

The color is really bad on this one, but the basic card has the shimmer as the ones above and the text is brown with a light blue chalking in the back.

If you like one of these cards just email me.

Enjoy the rest of the day.

OK I promised you these photos for Saturday, but life was just a little too much fun over the weekend, so here are the master pieces taken with my mobile phone camera and I have to say that the quality is really poor, but hey what did I expect …it is phone and not a full blown camera...

The general crowd of the Oktoberfest

The three girls (very blurry, but funny...)

Gerry and Caro in the Autoscouter

Gerry was scared by Caros driving

The end of the Autoscouter ride...

Me on the chairoplane

Gerry on the chairoplane

While downloading the photos I found these photos from my last business trip to Toulouse in France (treasures in my mobile phone). You probably think, oh yeah what a business trip, but these photos where take before and after we had dinner down town and yes we had an all day meeting.

(I think this is the town hall)

Pont Neuf in Toulouse

Basilique St-Sernin

Last, but not least, I wanted to show you this little felt pumpkin I found at a market I went to on Saturday with my mom and my nephew and niece (photos from that day are on the camera of my mom…)

And now I wish you all a HAPPY MONDAY

Oktoberfest

It is Oktoberfest time in Munich, which means you see a lot and I mean a real lot of Dirndl and Lederhosen in the city. In Munich the Oktoberfest time is the five season. It is the beginning of fall and the end of summer. Today at the post office I overheard a conversation between an app. 5 year old girl and her mom about the fall and the Oktoberfest... and the girl said something like, when the Oktoberfest is starting , fall is starting as well and her mom said simply yes! And it is true, as already mentioned in the previous post for me it is exactly the same thing. I mean fall starts with the Oktoberfest. It smells like fall, the leaves are starting to turn their colors and it is getting dark at 7 o’clock (which means as a kid: you can see all the lights of the Oktoberfest before 8 o’clock and that makes you feel very special!!!).

Today I went to the Oktoberfest with friends and it was just perfect! The weather was nice and warm, the beer tents not to crowded (which means you can still enter them without any wrist band and the corresponding reservations) and everybody was just in a good mood. I know that some of you don’t believe me, when I say, that for a Munich girl the Oktoberfest has nothing to do with getting drunk in half an hour (this is what most of the tourist think and do), but it is just fun to drink one beer and eat half a roasted chicken and then take a ride on the “Kettenkarussell” ( don’t know the translation for it but LEO tells me it is called “chairoplane”), eat chocolate covered banana and sugar roasted almonds and to enjoy you self. This is what I did tonight and it was just perfect. I had fun and I even took some photos with my mobile phone, but unfortunately I have no idea how my personal laptop can receive photos via Bluetooth….which means I cannot show you my photos of my ride of the chairoplane (which are of a really bad quality anyway, because I don’t have any flashlight on my mobile phone camera) … I’ll try to figure that one out tomorrow, so hopefully I can show the photos tomorrow, if not I’ll just show you some photos I’ll take tomorrow at the Oktoberfest with my niece Pia.

Holding on

The summer vacation in Munich is just over and I spotted the first pumpkin piles for selling at the roads… In the supermarket you can buy Lebkuchen and Spekulatius …and I’m just not ready for fall and winter… on Saturday the Oktoberfest will start and this is for me the beginning of fall, then it will be OK, but not today…just a few more days of summer

They are availbale with three different covers and all have this little flower in lower corners.

OK here are now the photos from the album.

The album has 24 pages plus the two cover pages and as already mentioned it is in size A6. The binding is via Coptic stitching and made by myself. (Für alle die keine Ahnung haben was das ist, damit ist die Art des Buch Bindens gemeint) The album gives plenty room for photos and text. There are eight albums in total and if you want get more information on the album please let me know.

We had this weekend the Streetlife-Festival going on in Munich (for all not living in Munich, they close down the Leopoldstreet for the weekend and on the street there are food stands and all kind of sport activities) and I was there today with some friends, all girls and it was really fun. Here are some photos I took during the day:

Traveling Journal

I started yesterday on some traveling journals and finished them today and I wanted to share some photos with you, but the batteries of my camera died on me, so you’ll have to wait until they charged (oh I do have spare batteries, but guess what, after laying around for a long time, they are empty as well…good planning huh?).

Anyhow the Traveling Journals are now done and ready for selling, so if someone needs an A6 Vacation Journal he/she could get one, hihihihi.

Oh before I forget. Someone thought I’ll be in New Zealand by now and then it dawned on me that I didn’t post that this trip not until January 2010. Well actually we’ll be leaving on December 29th and return on January 31st and yes that are FOUR and HALF weeks :-) and I’m sure it will not be long enough to see it all.

Memories

My grandma is turning 90 years old on September 19, which means she was born on 19.09.1919 (isn’t this a cool date). My mom had this terrific idea to make her a little album with memories from friends and family members. She asked everybody to write down some memories and she will put them together into a little book. Well one of my memories has to do with this ring and necklace.

It’s an old ring from my grandma which I used to see on her hand, she gave me this ring last year to my birthday and then for Christmas she gave me the necklace. I cannot put into words what that ring means to me.
Do you have something like that?
